LET'S COMPETE FOR THE GOOD
The Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy in Zenica was founded during the war in 1993. with the intention of affirming our Islamic spirituality through various scientific fields. In its four departments: Islamic Religious Education, Social Pedagogy, Preschool Education and Arabic Language and Literature, the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy in Zenica educates and educates personnel for the needs of the wider social community as well as the needs of the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora. More than 3,300 students have studied at this Faculty so far, and 1,252 of them have graduated. About 650 students are currently studying at the undergraduate and master's level. In the teaching process, 16 professors, doctors of science and two assistants, who are in a permanent casual relationship, and 58 external collaborators, professors and assistants from various scientific fields are engaged. After the Assembly of Ze-Do Canton, the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy, declared it an institution of special social importance, since 2004. it is an associated member of the University of Zenica with all rights and obligations like other members, where it plays a significant role in all academic processes conducted at the University of Zenica and the educational system of the Islamic community.
Considering the above, it can be stated that the IPF in Zenica long ago outgrew the spatial capacities in which it started its work. In order to ensure even satisfactory conditions, the management of the Faculty, in addition to the existing building of the former "Workers' University", also rented a floor of an elementary school (five classrooms) in the Blatuša neighborhood. In both facilities, classes are held in two shifts.
In order to comply with the standards stipulated by the law, and thus to improve the conditions and quality of work, three years ago the faculty management started the construction of a new, highly functional IPF building in Zenica, in the Radakovo neighborhood, next to the White Mosque. The building has dimensions of 44x44 m, with all the necessary modern amenities and has 8,500 square meters of useful space. In addition to the faculty, the project foresees the construction of a student dormitory, which gives the building additional value and importance. Rijaset IZ in BiH put this project in second place on the list of priorities. However, due to the difficult economic and political situation on the world stage, there were no agreed donations from abroad, so the construction of the started building is not progressing according to the expected dynamics.
Bearing in mind that Bosniaks have always had a sense of support for all noble initiatives, we sincerely hope that these few remarks will have a stimulating effect on all those to whom this information reaches and that they will, God willing, be incorporated into this " house of knowledge". We especially expect our business, wealthy people to, with their contributions, within the limits of their capabilities, come to the rescue and thus become waqifs whose work will receive the status of permanent sadaqah, a great reward in the hereafter and a beautiful memory in this world. Because let's not forget, respected brothers, that only by investing in the path of Allah do we earn ourselves the epithet of noble benefactors. As Hazrat Omar, may God be pleased with him, said: "Do not judge a man's faith by how much he remains in prayer, but by how much he spends in the way of Allah." We ask the All-Merciful Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, to help us in the deeds that he loves and is pleased with.
