ABOUT US

The Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy in Zenica was founded in August 1993, by the Decision of the Parliament of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated August 28, 1993. year, then as the Islamic Pedagogical Academy. With this, the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina received a new type of educational institution, which, with its fundamental educational purpose and religious-pedagogical inclination, to a considerable extent, builds on the tradition of Daru-l-muallimin.

The Islamic Pedagogical Academy became an affiliated member of the University of Zenica in 2004. Curricula are aligned with ECTS (European Credit Transfer System).

This is one of the first institutions in the academic area of Bosnia and Herzegovina that transformed its two-year course to the 3+2+3 concept.

Since 2005, the academy has grown into a faculty, so it is the current name Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy. The faculty is financed on the basis of funds from the Zenica-Doboj Canton budget.
