Konkurs za upis studenata u prvu godinu I (prvog) ciklusa studija na Univerzitetu u Zenici u akademskoj 2026/2027. godini (Prvi upisni rok) traje od 24.juna do 08.jula 2026. godine.
Candidate ranking and entrance exams at the faculties of the University of Zenica will be held from 09.jula do 14.jula 2026.godine.
The faculties of the University of Zenica will provide complete information on their bulletin boards and the faculty's website about the place and time of submitting documents, as well as taking entrance exams for the study programs of the faculties of the University of Zenica where entrance exams are scheduled.
Admission of accepted students to the faculties of the University of Zenica will be done according to the faculty plan u skladu s usvojenim Planom upisa studenata u prvu godinu I (prvog) ciklusa studija na Univerzitetu u Zenici u akademskoj 2026/2027.godini.
NOTE: Admitted students who do not enroll within the previously established deadline will be considered to have abandoned enrollment in the study program of the University of Zenica faculty to which they applied.
Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, foreign citizens and stateless persons who have completed a four-year high school in Bosnia and Herzegovina have the right to participate in the Competition, as well as candidates who have completed high school outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and for whom, after the recognition or nostrification procedure, determined that they have completed the appropriate education for continuing education.
Izuzetno, kandidati koji su srednju školu završili izvan Bosne i Hercegovine imaju pravo učešća na Konkurs i prije izvršenog postupka priznavanja odnosno nostrifikacije svjedočanstva o završenom srednjem obrazovanju u inostranstvu, uz prilaganje odgovarajućeg dokaza o pokretanju naprijed navedenih postupaka. Navedeni kandidati mogu izvršiti upis nakon završenog postupka priznavanja odnosno nostrifikacije o završenom obrazovanju u inostranstvu najkasnije do početka akademske 2026/2027.godine.
The ranking of candidates is carried out by special commissions appointed by the deans of the faculties of the University of Zenica.
The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of the Decision on criteria and criteria for determining the order of admission of candidates for the first year of the first cycle of studies at the University of Zenica, which forms an integral part of this Competition, as well as the individual criteria of the University of Zenica faculty for evaluation of grades from subjects relevant to the respective study and evaluation of the results of the entrance exams at the faculties of the University of Zenica where the entrance exam is scheduled.
The ranking list and the list of admitted candidates will be published by the faculties on the notice board and on the faculty's website, after they have been verified by the competent authorities, for faculties where the entrance exam is scheduled to take place no later than five days after the last day of the entrance exam, and for other faculties no later than five days from the closing date of the Competition.
Candidates who apply for the Competition for enrollment in the first year of the I (first) cycle of studies attach the following documents:
- an application for enrollment in which the study program/department to which he is applying is correctly indicated,
- certificates of completed classes of high school completed in BiH for a four-year period, i.e. appropriate documents on the implementation of the recognition or certification procedure for candidates who completed high school outside of BiH,
- high school diploma,
- birth certificate,
- Certificate of Citizenship,
- other documents relevant for determining the number of points according to the criteria.
Candidates attach the documents listed under point b), c), d), e) and f) in original or certified photocopy (with certification not older than 6 (six) months from the date of publication of the Competition).
Candidates who benefit from the rights under the Law on Supplementary Rights of Defenders and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette of the Zenica-Doboj Canton", No. 15/24) must, in addition to the previously mentioned documents, also submit the following documentation:
- certified household list,
- income certificates of household members,
- certified copy of identity card,
- confirmation of the status of members of the defense population and their family members.
A defense attorney and a member of his/her family, who is a full-time student, have the right of priority under equal conditions when enrolling in faculties of the University of Zenica, in accordance with Article 22, paragraph (1) of the Law on Supplementary Rights of Defense Attorneys and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette of Zenica-Doboj Canton", No. 15/24) and the Regulation on Priority in Education of Children of Defense Attorneys ("Official Gazette of Zenica-Doboj Canton", No. 1/25).
For the enrollment of candidates from the categories: children of martyrs, killed, deceased, missing defenders; children of killed, deceased, missing recipients of war recognition or decorations; children of deceased war invalids and deceased demobilized defenders; members of the Roma nationality; persons with disabilities over 70%; persons without parental care who are wards of institutions for the accommodation of children without parental care in the Zenica-Doboj Canton; persons whose parents/guardians are beneficiaries of social assistance, and who have their residence in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, and who apply for full-time studies (financed by the Founder) and pass the entrance exam, or do not achieve the required number of points according to general and special criteria at faculties where an entrance exam is not foreseen, and do not enter the quota foreseen by the Enrollment Plan, the Cantonal Government shall issue a special decision on granting consent to increase the number of students for enrollment. The decision on granting consent to increase the number of students for enrollment shall be issued based on the request of the University of Zenica.
Status pripadnika romske populacije kandidati za upis u prvu godinu I (prvog) ciklusa studija na fakultetima Univerziteta u Zenici u akademskoj 2026/2027.godini dokazuju prilaganjem jednog od slijedećih dokumenata iz kojih je vidljiva pripadnost romskoj populaciji: školska svjedodžba, izvod iz matične knjige rođenih, izvod iz matične knjige vjenčanih, izvod iz popisa birača ili neki drugi dokument koji sadrži podatak o pripadnosti romskoj populacji.
Status osobe sa invaliditetom preko 70% kandidati za upis u prvu godinu I (prvog) ciklusa studija na fakultetima Univerziteta u Zenici u akademskoj 2026/2027.godini dokazuju prilaganjem dokumenta nadležne medicinske istitucije.
After both enrollment deadlines have passed, the competent authorities of the University of Zenica faculty will determine:
- For a study program for which the enrollment quota provides for 31 or more students, classes are held if at least 50% students out of the number provided for by the enrollment quota for that study program are enrolled in that study program.
- For a study program for which the enrollment quota is 30 or fewer students, classes are not held if at least 10 students are enrolled in that study program.
- Exceptionally from the previous point, classes may be held in study programs with fewer than 10 students enrolled, for justified reasons, at the proposal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, with the consent of the Cantonal Government.
- A reasoned request for teaching in study programs in accordance with the previous point shall be submitted by the Senate of the University of Zenica for approval to the Cantonal Government through the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

If the study program does not meet the requirements for teaching, the accepted candidates will be offered admission to study programs where there are still available places for enrollment according to the established enrollment plan.
For all faculties that do not receive the planned number of candidates in this enrollment period, the Competition (SECOND REGISTRATION DEADLINE) will be announced on 26. avgusta 2026. godine, a prijem dokumenata vršit će se od 26. avgusta do 11. septembra 2026.godine.

Na osnovu članova 56. i 95. Zakona o visokom obrazovanju («Službene novine» Zeničko-dobojskog kantona, broj 12/22, 15/24-Autentično tumačenje i 5/25) i člana 67. Statuta Univerziteta u Zenici (Prečišćeni tekst), Senat Univerzitet u Zenici, na svojoj sjednici održanoj 08.05.2026. godine, donosi
DECISION ON CRITERIA AND MEASUREMENTS
TO DETERMINE THE ORDER OF ADMISSION OF CANDIDATES
FOR ENROLLMENT IN THE FIRST YEAR AND (FIRST) CYCLE OF STUDIES AT
UNIVERSITY IN ZENIKA
Article 1.
This Decision establishes common criteria and standards for scoring and enrolling candidates in the first year of the first (first) cycle of studies at the University of Zenica.
Article 2.
Ranking of candidates and admission of students to the first year of the 1st (first) cycle of studies will be done depending on the number of points the candidate earns:
- At the faculties where the entrance exam is scheduled, based on:
- general success,
- success in certain subjects important for the respective study,
- the results achieved in the entrance exam,
- results achieved at competitions in subjects relevant to a particular study, i
- recognition of the "Student of the generation", under equal conditions in relation to other candidates.
- At faculties where entrance exams are not scheduled based on:
- general success,
- success in certain subjects important for the respective study,
- results achieved at competitions in subjects relevant to a specific study, i
- recognition of the "Student of the generation", under equal conditions in relation to other candidates.
Article 3.
The number of points based on general success is a maximum of 40, and is determined by multiplying the average grade from all subjects in all grades by 8, rounded to one decimal place.
Article 4.
The number of points based on success in individual subjects important for the respective study is a maximum of 20, and is determined by multiplying the average grade in subjects important for the respective study by department by 4.
Article 5.
The evaluation of the results based on the success achieved in the entrance exam, as well as the list of subjects important for the respective study from which the entrance exam is taken by department and the method of scoring on this basis, the faculties will highlight on their notice boards, with the maximum number of points that the candidate can achieve on this base is 40.
Article 6.
For one of the places won at the cantonal competition for high school students, the following number of points is awarded:
- for winning the first place……….3 points
- for winning second place……..2 points i
- for winning the third place……….1 point
For one of the places won in the competition of high school students at the level/level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the following number of points is awarded:
- for winning first place………4 points
- for winning second place…….3 points i
- for winning third place………2 points
For one of the places won in the international competition for high school students, the following number of points is awarded:
- for winning first place………5 points
- for winning second place…….4 points i
- for winning the third place………3 points.
The total number of points that the candidate receives based on the competition from this article cannot exceed 10, and it is formed based on the sum of points for all results, with the fact that only competitions that are officially organized at the level of the Canton, the Federation of BiH and BiH and from the subjects of mathematics, physics, foreign language, informatics. For technical faculties, in addition to the above, the results of the competition called "Technical Creativity Review" organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of ZE-DO Canton are also scored.
Article 7.
A candidate who holds the "Student of the Generation" award, under equal conditions, has priority when enrolling in one of the study programs of the University of Zenica faculty over other candidates who achieve the same number of points during the ranking established in Article 2, point 1 or 2. of this Decision.
Article 8.
Candidates who achieve the appropriate number of points in the appropriate entrance exam according to the decisions of the faculty can enroll in the faculties of the University of Zenica.
Article 9
The procedure for implementing this Decision is carried out by a committee appointed by the dean of the faculty.
At the faculties where the entrance exam is taken, the commission is obliged to ensure the secrecy of the exam material and other relevant documentation.
After adding up the points for each candidate individually according to all the bases from this Decision, the commission compiles a ranking list of all candidates and a list of accepted candidates and announces it on the notice board after it has been adopted by the competent authority, and within the deadline set in the Competition/Competition.
Candidates can submit a written objection to the published ranking list to the scientific and teaching council of the faculty within three days from the date of publication of the list.
The scientific and teaching council of the faculty is obliged to decide on the objection within three days and inform the candidate accordingly.
The decision of the Scientific and Teaching Council is final.
Article 10.
Faculties that do not receive the planned number of candidates in the first competition period will hold a second competition period in September of the current year.
Article 11.
Candidates who, in accordance with this Contest/Competition, are admitted to the faculties for enrollment in the first year of studies, in addition to the submitted documents, submit:
- enrollment, semester sheet and CV form,
- registration form-index,
- data on the state of health - medical certificate.
U akademskoj 2026/2027. godini studenti participiraju u troškovima studija u skladu sa Odlukom o upisu studenata u prvu godinu dodiplomskog studija na fakultete Univerziteta u Zenici, kao i troškova participacije studija za ostale godine studija.
Article 12.
Details about the place and time of submission of documents for enrollment, as well as other relevant information, will be published on the notice boards of the faculty.
