A session of the Commission for the awarding of the “Hasan-ef. Škapur” awards and recognitions was held in Tešanj yesterday, chaired by the Mufti of Zenica, Prof. Dr. Mevludin-ef. Dizdarević, President of the Commission.
The commission for awarding the “Hasan ef. Škapur” award and recognition, composed of: hafiz prof. dr. Mevludin-ef. Dizdarević, mufti of Zenica, mr. Fuad-ef. Omerbašić, chief imam of the Tešanj Islamic Community Majlis, Zehrudin Kruško, president of the Executive Board of the Tešanj Majlis and Edin-ef. Kavazović, head of the Service for Religious Affairs and Education of the Mufti of Zenica, has decided that the winner of this year's award and recognition for contribution to the affirmation of Islam and Islamic sciences in BiH will be hafiz prof. Ph.D. Safvet Halilović.
The award and recognition will be presented on the 12th of Rabi'ul-Evvel 1447 HG, that is, on September 4, 2025, in Tešnje.
The "Hasan ef. Škapur" Fund was established at the Tešanj Islamic Community Council in 2005, and its purpose is to provide scholarships to students and award awards and recognitions to deserving scientists, individuals, bodies and institutions in BiH and beyond for their contribution to the development of Islamic sciences.
The award and recognition are presented once a year, on the occasion of the 12th of Rabi'ul-Awwal.
