At the age of 89 our beloved moved to the hereafter prof. Ph.D. Ismet Dizdarević, renowned professor of psychological sciences. Born in 1934 in Mostar. He was the first doctor of psychological sciences and the founder of psychology in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

His education in psychology began at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, where he graduated in 1958. He continued his academic career at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, where he started as an assistant in 1961, and then progressed to the positions of assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor. He successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, "The influence of creative abilities on the social behavior of students", in 1978. He was the founder and first head of the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo.

Prof. Dizdarević taught General Psychology and Personality Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo. At the Faculty of Political Sciences, he taught Basics of Psychology, Military Psychology and Social Psychology. His pedagogical work extended to other institutions, including the Faculty of Criminal Sciences, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Facultyet of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo, Teaching Faculty of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy, University of Zenica.

He left an indelible mark in the academic world through the publication of over 200 scientific and professional papers. He was also the editor of numerous magazines and active in professional organizations. His achievements were recognized through awards such as "Veselin Masleša" and the Sixth of April Award of the City of Sarajevo. He retired in 2004, and a year later he was elected professor emeritus.

Professor Dizdarević will be remembered for his commitment to psychological science, education and his role in Circle 99.
