Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy in Zenica, 3.12. In 2018, I signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Caritas of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of providing professional support in the implementation of the project called Preschool education for all children in Bosnia and Herzegovina (PEACH). The goal of the project is to enable children from vulnerable categories access to half-day and compulsory preschool education.
The project will be implemented in the Preschool Education and Training Center in Zenica, then in the City Kindergarten Center in Zavidovići and in the Mladost Preschool Education Center in Kakanj. The non-governmental organization LEDA Development Association from Zenica is a partner in the implementation of the project.
The working group, which consists of the head of the Department of Preschool Education (Vice Prof. Dr. Almira Isić-Imamović) and members of the Department of Social Pedagogy (Vice Prof. Dr. Edina Vejo, Vice Prof. Dr. Izet Pehlić, Asst. Elma Begagić, Ph.D., Muharem Adilović, Ph.D., and Azemina Durmić, Ph.D., assistant professor) of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy in Zenica, will coordinate and participate in the implementation of the entire project. In order to strengthen the Preschool Education Department of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy in Zenica, lectures by foreign visiting professors and experts in the field of preschool education are also planned within the project. The implementation of the project will begin in December 2018, and its completion is planned in 2021.
