On the initiative of the Student Association of the Islamic Pedagogical Faculty of the University of Zenica, and in cooperation with the Theological Faculty of the University of Istanbul, the Faculty organized a student excursion to Istanbul from July 15 to 22, 2018.
The student association chose 50 undergraduate students from all departments at the Faculty as a reward for success during their studies, in the context of preparation for an organized approach to student exchange between these two faculties.
Students got to know the sights of Istanbul and Bursa.
The host, the Faculty of Theology of Istanbul University, provided accommodation with breakfast in one of the student dormitories in the beautiful Bahçelievler neighborhood of Istanbul through Istanbul University. On behalf of the hosts in Istanbul, Prof. Ph.D. Ahmet Temel, vice dean for scientific research and coordinator for the Erasmus+ program of the Faculty of Theology, University of Istanbul. He deserves special thanks for his efforts, and we thank the dean and colleagues from the Theological Faculty of the University of Istanbul for their support in organizing this excursion.
Also, we would like to thank the staff of the student dormitory (İstanbul Üniversitesi Öğrenci Yurdu, Hürriyet Mahallesi) for their extremely warm and friendly reception, overall attention and treatment.
This visit opened a new chapter in the cooperation between the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy at the University of Zenica and the Faculty of Theology at the University of Istanbul.
