New doctoral studies at IPF in Zenica

Sarajevo, March 14, 2018 (MINA) - Today, the reisu-l-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein ef. Kavazović was visited by a delegation from the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy in Zenica: Dean of the Faculty Dr. Halil Mehtić, full professor dr. Šefik Kurdić, vice dean for teaching, dr. Mensur Valjevac and secretary Hasan Mucić. The meeting was also attended by the director of the Directorate for Education and Science of Rijaset, Ibrahim Begović. Dean Mehtić introduced the reisa-l-ulema to the final phase of the procedure for opening a doctoral study in preschool education and social pedagogy at this faculty. Also, the Faculty is opening a department for inclusive education, considering the need for teaching staff in the educational process, which now includes the inclusion of students with difficulties in regular classes. This year, the faculty celebrates its 25th year of existence, and on the occasion of the anniversary, an international conference "Interreligious dialogue in contemporary challenges of life" will be organized in October, with the participation of numerous scientific workers from around the world. The delegation highlighted the successful signing of the protocol of the Faculty and University in Istanbul and Ankara for better cooperation in the teaching and scientific process. They also pointed out the problem of the construction of the Faculty building, which is in its initial construction phase.

Reisu-l-ulema expressed his satisfaction with the activities of the Faculty, which go in the direction of monitoring contemporary scientific trends and the needs of BiH society, and said that the anniversary of this higher education institution is an important jubilee for the Islamic community in BiH, but also for Muslims as a whole.
