The Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy is engaged in publishing and promoting books. It is mostly about books of special religious and cultural importance, about books that are relevant for the study, or about books authored by faculty teachers.

It is worth noting that the work Two Bosnian Chronicles, from the first half of the 18th century, authored by Omer Novljanin and Ahmed Hadžinesimović, is about the defense of Bosnia and the heroic struggle of Bosniaks against Austria in 1736-1739. year, the first work published by the faculty as part of its publishing activity.

Later, numerous other works were promoted, such as e.g. Science among the Ottoman Turks, by Adnan Adivar, translated from Turkish doc. Ph.D. Kerime Filan, Under the auspices of the Qur'an, by the martyr Sayyid Qutb, Muvekit's history of Bosnia, The nature of the family upbringing model among Bosniaks, Assoc. Safvet Halilović, as well as other works of teachers and associates of the faculty.

In its twenty-year publishing tradition, the faculty has been the publisher or co-publisher of close to 60 different book titles.

The last major publishing project of the faculty is Monograph of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy which is expected to be printed in January 2014, on the occasion of marking twenty years of the faculty's work.

The first scientific and professional gathering What kind of religious education do we need in school" was held on June 22 and 23, 1996, and its sponsor was the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to the fact that this gathering aimed to gain more reliable insights into the current state of religious education in schools, it also tried, in particular, to raise awareness of its educational, spiritual and moral task, and to answer the question of what kind of religious education we need in schools that have long been subordinated to atheistic ideology and which even today is an inseparable part of the plural and secularized world, which is noticeably marked by indifference to religious and spiritual values.

In cooperation with the Faculty of Islamic Sciences from Sarajevo and the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy from Bihać, IPF and the Department of Religious Studies organized a scientific and professional conference with international participation "State and perspectives of religious education in Bosnia and Herzegovina", which was held on May 26, 2012 in Sarajevo.

The third scientific and professional meeting was held on May 25, 2013. year under the name « Causes and prevention of Islamophobia ». The presenters at the conference were eminent university professors, theologians, writers, philosophers, sociologists, psychologists and other scientists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Great Britain, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.

The study department for social pedagogy organized three scientific-professional conferences with international participation "System of prevention of social exclusion of young people", which represent a continuum of professional-research approach aimed at understanding and setting strategies for the prevention of behavioral disorders and risky behaviors of children and young people, namely:

  • universal prevention: 1st Conference, April 2006, aimed at the entire population, with the aim of empowering the individual and the community
  • selective prevention: 2nd Conference, November 2008, aimed at individuals and groups with higher than average risks of developing behavioral disorders
  • indicated prevention: 3rd Conference, April 2010, which is aimed at at-risk individuals, groups, with at least minimal signs of some form of behavioral disorder registered. The time of the third Conference was framed by the holding of the 1st International Congress of Social Pedagogy students in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose organizers were the Association of Social Pedagogues, the Department of Social Pedagogy and the Student Center of the University of Zenica.

The Department for Preschool Education is 21.04.2012. organized the first scientific and professional conference with international participation "Theory and practice of early education".

The basic idea and concept of the Conference was to gather in one place scientists, experts and researchers from different fields and from different countries who are engaged in early education research with the aim of exchanging experiences related to education in preschool and early school age.
